<p>It seems everyone posts their SAT scores including the writing section. It is my understanding that U. of I. does not currently use writing sections of ACT or SAT for admissions. Am I wrong?</p>
<p>I don’t know for sure but, considering my writing score on the SAT was only 520 and I got admitted to engineering, I would assume no. Otherwise it is a freaking miracle that I got in considering how competitive engineering is.</p>
<p>I know that the writing portion is required for ACT. I’m assuming the same for SAT too. As to how it is used in making the “holistic” decision, I’m not certain.</p>
<p>There are 16% CR less than 500. So W 520 is OK . If your Math is 520… hahahha</p>
