I somehow managed to get an 800 on the SAT Writing Section; I got a 700 CR and 690 M, but I am planning to take the test again in June and improve these scores. It seems like many of the more competetive schools don't count or do not know how to count the writing. Does anyone have any idea how much this 800 will help my chances? I'm thinking of schools like Brown, Northwestern, Tufts, and Cornell.

according to collegeboard:

cornell: no
tufts: yes
brown: yes
northwestern: yes

check each schools website for their policy with the writing section. If anything, your 800 will look very impressive no matter how much it counts in admission.
