SAT Writing Section vs Literature Subject Test

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if it is easier to achieve higher score on the SAT writing section on the reasoning test OR the SAT Literature Test ?

Is the SAT writing section easier to improve such that I can jump from 550 to 700 with lots of practice?

I know this is a somewhat strange comparison. The reason is that I am applying for foreign schools that asks me to submit one of the two scores. The schools don't care which test I take.

Thanks so much for the help.

The writing section on the reasoning test is without a doubt more straightforward, and I definitely think it’s easier to get a high score on that than the literature test, which usually has lots of confusing and often controversial questions. I’ve never heard of anyone with a higher lit score than writing. Also, with practice you can easily get into the 700 range for the writing test after you familiarize yourself with the types of tricks that the ETS likes to throw at test takers.
