I was just wondering how WashU weighs the SAT writing relative to Math and CR. According to this list [url=http://www.sat-essay.net/sat-scoring-policies.html]New SAT Scoring Policies from 374 Top Schools/url, it apparently gives it equal weight. Can anyone provide me a valid source to confirm this?

The higher you score, the better. I’m not quite sure they give it equal weight, but it would be a good idea to act like they do when you’re preparing for the SAT. A high score (750-800) won’t make you and a low score (650-700) won’t break you, but they’ll use it as a basis for comparison among students if things are really close.

i’m fairly certain the important thing about SAT writing is thats >750 gets you out of writing 1 for engineers. Not sure about the exact number, though.

So does a 5 on AP Lang or AP Lit. Woot!

Or 36 on reading.

Or…I’ve got nothing.

Or passing the engineering writing test at the beginning of the semester ;-p

(800 ftw)

Or you can be an idiot like me and take the class anyway even though you exempted out from the SAT, ACT and AP tests (really, don’t do this).
