<p>How is the SAT Writing scored? What percentage of the score is the essay vs the multiple choice? If I got a 71 PSAT, how does that compare to the SAT? Thanks.</p>
<p>i read that the essay counts somewhere between 30 and 40% of your total writing score. i don't know how they calculate it though. I was wondering the same thing because i do well at the multiple choice writing but suck at the essay.</p>
<p>^ Yeah, I think some website I saw said it makes up one-third of your writing score... which sounds like they would just do (essayscore/12)*267 and add it to the rest of your writing section... I don't know.</p>
