SAT writing

Ok this doesn't concern me but someone else was asking so here it goes...

What score would missing 7 questions on the multiple choice normally correspond to? Let's say this person had an 8-9 essay.

Any thoughts?

Hello. Can somebody please answer this thread?

this will get you a score of 640-660 for sure.

Is it possible to get a 700+ and miss 7 questions on MC?

I would think so. On the November administration, my daughter missed 9; her essay was an 11 and that equated to a 760.

i guess it really depends on the curve..
If sabaray's daughter took the october test(which i took :() she would have only gotten a 680~700 with the same sub scores

Sabaray, I don't think that 760 was with 9 wrong. My daughter had the exact same score on the November test. The scaled multiple choice score was 71 with an 11 essay, equaling a 760. The SAT subtracts for wrong answers. Once the official score reports come out we'll know exactly how many wrong that was.

Does anyone have any perspective on 80 MC + 9 essay? I got a 790 with that score, but I talked to someone on here who swears that they got the same thing on the same day (but in a different state) and got an 800.

I had 80 MC + 9 essay and got a 780 on the October test while some people on here said they got an 800 with those same scores..

:</p>

They may have been different versions of the SAT though.. but who can really judge whether one essay topic is harder than another?

MomOFour, thanks for that clarification. I should have been more specific, I guess!
