Sat wrong section procedure

So I’m a senior and I took this october SATS. During the exam there was a section i was doing (i believe section 7), and i filled out the answers for it on section 8. After that section i realized my mistake and informed the proctors. They then gave me a new bubble sheet to complete the test in that bubble sheet. I trusted them and i hope that was the right procedure. Now the scores came and everyone i know got their scores except for me. I think my scores might be delayed. I’m just concerned and really hope i can just get my grade and nothing goes wrong. Has anything similar happened to any of you? I simply went to through the procedure, someone lighten the situation. The CB doesnt say its delayed on the website, my scores are just not displayed yet.

Let me clarify… When i filled in the wrong bubbles i erased it on that bubble sheet and they gave me a new one to put those sections on it and continue the test on the new bubble sheet. It seems like all will be fine, but im worried because my scores are delayed and i don’t want them to take forever

I know some people that didn’t get their scores yet but everything was fine on test day. They did say they were going to put scores out throughout the day so you should ok.

Yo same problem haha. I’m really scared because I am a senior as well. I mistakenly wrote 20 writing answers on the section above and I had no time left to change it so I told the proctor. She gave me another scantron just like you to answer the rest of the test on there. And yea I haven’t gotten my scores yet.

Now I’m really regretting that I told the proctor. Maybe I could have just transferred my answer to the real one really lope. Aha. I studied a lot and I need my scores now faaa. I emailed the college board so I’ll let you know if I get a response.

Let me know if you hear anything too.

I really hope they don’t delay it very long. i called them several times and they said my account does say i have two scantrons, but it doesn’t mention that my grades are delayed due to that.

I dont understand why a small thing like that can cause so many problems.

Any updates on your score? @HellaOP

@Hellaop : You did the right thing by talking to the proctor. Don’t the rules say that you are not allowed to go back to a prior section after time has run? You could have been in major trouble. It stands to reason that having to run two scantrons would put you at the end of the line while they deal with the “normal” ones.

@AboutTheSame so is this why I haven’t gotten my scores yet, I’m not put at priority?

It makes sense that fixing your mistake is going to take more time than a normal test. Maybe they’re hand scoring it to make sure they get it right, who knows. I’m not sure why immediate action seems to have been expected here.

@SeaArgent : Yes. I expect you are not a priority. The priority would be getting out the scores of people whose forms do not require special treatment. @bodangles may be correct that it even goes to hand-scoring to make sure which answers on which sheet go to which section.

@AboutTheSame know how long that delay may take? @SeaArgent I still have not gotten my scores. Hopefully they come out in a week or so.

I have no idea. Your college/guidance counselor might have a better sense of that based on experience. You’re not the first person to have done this. Heck, they have a set protocol for dealing with it.

I still haven’t received my score. This is becoming agitating.

did you receive your scores?

@SeaArgent I still have not. You? I was expecting it to come out this Thursday or Friday but nope. Honestly college board needs to find better ways to take care of incidents like this. Misbubbling shouln’t cause a score delay this long.

I’m amazed at how indignant you are that you caused CollegeBoard a problem, lol.

@bodangles you don’t know how we feel bro lol imagine your score being delayed when you’re a senior about to apply for college!
