<p>If you missed 3 then you got a 1 point penalty added on to it, so -4 total for a raw score of 50/54. Thats why there’s a big difference b/t missing 2 and 3 questions.</p>
<p>It’s also why you usually don’t see people with 720-740 range for most curves. Most people getting above 700 know their math and don’t leave any blank. Most mistakes they make are careless errors. </p>
<p>However, to get a rounded raw score of 51/54, you have to have left something blank. Since it sucks to know that the only thing that prevented your 800 was your omission of one question, people go for the gamble.</p>
