SAT tomorrow! Any tips?? I want to do very well!

Don’t get too many questions wrong

Choose all the right answers, and you should be good.

Well that was informative.

seriously though, it’s too late to prepare now. If you wanted tips to do very well, you would have had to start several weeks before. Now, it’s just best to relax and get a good night sleep.

Just some things to remember though:

-if you can eliminate at least one answer, then guess
-write a lot for the essay (you can make up examples)
-read the CR passages very carefully. The answers are always in the passage (just in different words)
-read the math questions very carefully. It will be very easy to solve for the wrong thing or answer the wrong question unless you are careful.
-in the writing, find the grammar section, there is usually only 3 or 4 “no errors”
-Bring a snack to eat to keep your energy up.
-it helps to have a stop watch with you and on your desk instead of having to look up at the clock

That’s all I can think of right now! Good luck!

A good thing to do right now (aside from getting plenty of rest) is to go over the practice tests that you did and look at some of the consistent problems that you had. For example, maybe you always get a math question wrong because of a silly mistake or you didn’t read the question properly; make sure you don’t do the same thing during the real test.

Tomorrow morning, try to wake up your mind by reading a bit or going through some vocab. Since the essay is the first thing up, you want to be able to think and formulate sentences.

Aah, I wouldn’t personally take shalooky’s advice–too nerve wracking! If you’re like me and
will end up panicking, don’t think about the test the night before or the morning of!

Get a good night’s sleep, and have a good breakfast, I’ve heard a lot of times.

I wouldn’t know about that particular piece of advice… I got no sleep the night before, and the only thing I consumed the next morning was several cans of Mountain Dew. I got a 2240.

I think what worked for me is that I was genuinely excited for it, to the point of jumping up and down like a hyperactive child. Try building a positive attitude towards it, maybe even look forward to it. I think it helps.

^^^^^^

I definitely agree with the positive attitude thing. Whenever I got nervous, I told myself that I would be fine, that I studied, and that I would score high. I t reengergized me. Without that attitude, I might not have gotten my 2330!!
