<p>yes, you can only send your ACT. the ACT testing company and the SAT testing company are two different things, so you taking one has no effect on the other. just make sure that you don't designate any schools on the test when you intially take it. therefore, when you get your scores you can decide to send it or not.</p>
<p>secondly, you can't send SAT 2s without sending SAT 1s. Collegeboard will send every test they have on record for you.</p>
<p>Aren't 3 SAT IIs required at Harvard?........so since i took the SAT I, I have to send it in order to send the SAT IIs which are required.</p>

<p>yeah, so since you took the SAT 1 harvard will see it when they getyour SAT 2 scores.</p>

<p>the yale website is sorta unclear. i'm not sure if they are saying you get a pass at subject tests if you send in the ACT or if you can send in the ACT with writing in lieu of the new SAT... but, if they are saying that SAT 2s aren't necessary, keep in mind that most students will be sending SAT 2s anyways. when i applied to yale, i sent my SAT 2 scores.</p>

<p>it really isn't that big of a deal. i took the SAT and the ACT and did much better on the ACT. i just sent all of them to my schools and everything worked out fine.</p>

<p>for some examples of college policies about the SAT I, ACT, and SAT II. Harvard requires three SAT II tests, and your scores on the SAT I will be included on the score report sent to Harvard with your required SAT II scores.</p>
<p>If you are really worried you can take SAT2s first and send them off to every place you are likely to apply that won't just accept ACT plus writing. Then take ACT and see how you do. Then take the SAT1 and not send it anywhere to you see what the score is and can compare it to the ACT. This always seemed like waaay too much trouble to me. I don't think a great ACT score and a not quite so great SAT1 score is likely to keep you out of the running.</p>
