Is the SAT easier to take on a certain month?

I heard January ones are typically a bit harder than the others and October is usually the easiest. I'm planning to take mine in March. Does anyone know anything about this?

The curves are different every test, so the odds usually weigh out, uh, evenly, if you know what I mean. I'm taking my first SAT I in March too. It shouldn't be terribly easier or harder than previous tests. :)

are there any stats out there to show the score ranges for this past year?

Hey Im taking it in March too. I heard that usually a lot of people take the march one, so the curve might not help your score as it would if less people were taking it.

All right, apparently College Board pre-determines test curves. As in student performance has nothing to do with it.

There really aren't any magic months, as far as how hard the test itself is. There are, however, better months in terms of how well you can prep for it, etc. For example, the May one would be bad for me since that's about time for finals at school. But the January one was good since I had time to take a few tests prior over winter break.

oh. okay. well A LOT of people around where i live are taking their first SATs in march, and i'm guessing thats pretty much how its gonna be all around the country.

zoaxanthellae, where did you get that info (the predetermined curve)??

"Pre-determined test curve" seems to be a contradiction in terms.

Semantics!

[You know what I mean...]

so basically, it doesn't really matter what month you take the SATs..
