SAT2 biology???

^ lol nice but did you previously take a biology class? and also do you think just the princeton review book is sufficient enough to study with? (aiming for low 700s...but obviously the higher the better)

The only biology class I took was back in freshman year, 3 years ago.
I started with Barrons because my brother got a 800 thanks to it. But after I took PR's diagnostic, I found out that there were things Barron's didn't cover. It turns out PR is the only thing I needed, it covered everything that the test covers.

How many hours would you say you put in per day, anhtimmy?

I'm taking the Bio-M test in October, right now I'm reading Barrons. My Bio class was really crappy, so basically more than half of the stuff is new for me.

hey voodoo santa and anyone else who's studying for bio in october or november, go to this and study with us:

hey hey hey voodoo I would recommend getting the Princeton review. I used it. I was the BEST it was so straightforward and easy to use and taught you everything you needed to know - except for taxonomy. For that I used Cliffnotes. I wouldn't use SparkNotes. I used their online book but it didn't really help. HOWEVER they have five biology SAT practice tests you can take for 15 bucks. (don't use any free sites, 1 they practically don't exist and 2 they'll sell away your contact info. And of course, a year of Biology helps :). Hope this helps, voodoo!

P.S. When are you taking the BIology SAT? If you haven't decided yet, I would suggest the end of the year IF you are taking biology now. It helps because you study for your final and the SAT at the same time. If not, take it ASAP.

P.P.S. All of these books worked for me, BUT you should follow whatever works best for you. using these I got a 790 on the Biology-M.

P.P.P.S. I studied a little bit in the months leading up to the exam. I took it in June, so I studied more and more each week and I was crazy-cramming the week before. I literally spent six hours per day studying. But if you pace yourself out, be my guest, don't end up like me.

^ Thx, but I only got till this Nov. and with all the school work I have, I don't think I'll have much time to study for it. But it's good to hear that PR will cover it all I skimmed through it once (got 610 :/) and I'm rereading it and highlighting and writing marginal notes this time. I'm just hoping for a high 600-low 700s I guess.

voodoo_santa, I read the Princeton Review twice the week before I took my Bio M test (I also took Math 2) and I got a 750 on the test. But then again I took AP Bio that year... I think that Barron's is wayyyyy superfluous if you are preparing JUST for the SAT Bio test.

Try memorizing it.
Once you get the basic stuff down, you'll be able to answer them as if they were basic addition problems.
