SAT2 Physics for engineering

<p>Is SAT Physics necessary for Columbia Engineering? I took Bio Chem and Math 2c.</p>

<p>PANIIIIC!!!!! I just talked to an admission rep at Columbia and he told me SAT phyz was required......</p>

<p>Hmm, take it in December or January (latest allowed) and they should note that you are in AP Physics this year and take that into account when lookin at your score. The other scores (except MathIIC) are solid. The only reason I'm saying your MathIIC score is low is because I know lots of people who get 800s. Lots of people get 800s on the test and not all of them, including me, are good at math. I always thought MathIIC was required and you could take either Chem or Physics. Hmmm......</p>

<p>Ignore this guy. He's running around on here saying that physics is required. It simply isn't. And he's telling you to take it in JANUARY WHEN YOU'RE APPLYING ED.</p>

<p>I sort of said that "I always thought MathIIC was required and you could take either Chem or Physics." I think that means that I thought that Chem can be used. When I read that the OP called Columbia and was told to take the Physics SATII, I told him/her to take it the latest s/he could. Neglected to read the ED part and it was too late to edit my post. I thought the OP wanted to know whether to take the Physics SATII and was worried about a poor score becaue s/he is currently in AP Physics, unlike people who took the class as juniors and scored very well on the SATII and AP exam.</p>

<p>bad news.......SAT Math 800 Verbal 630 and writing 600.. I'm toast...</p>
