Obviously, if you do really well on one, you should do decently on the other...but how much of a correlation is there? If you prepare for one, are you automatically prepared for the other? How much does this differ from subject to subject?
Also...I've heard that CB is considering/in the process of developing a Calc SATII...is there any truth to this?

I prepped like hell for the SAT II, got an 800, and used nothing but that knowledge plus a couple hours' worth of reading through Kaplan's AP book the night before to score a 5 on the AP a year later.

Maybe. Got a 5 on World History exam, later was welcomed to a 670 on the SATII counterpart. :|

theoneo: I was wondering what SAT II that was, because that sounds like a pretty good deal considering I will most likely be taking all my SAT II's and AP's at the same time...

AP US History AP and SATII correlate pretty well, at least material wise. of you have a good AP class then the SATII won't be too hard (lots of facts and specific--more so than the AP, but not as tricky questions as AP).

mathIIC 800 --> AP Calc BC 5
Physics 800 --> AP Physics C mech 5, electricity 4
biol m 800 --> AP biol 5
chem 800 --> AP chem 5

that's what i got.

Any tips for the Physics SATII, valecollegorian?

chem 680- 3 AP
does that seem to be a reasonable correlation?

I got a 4 on AP Chem after two weeks of intensive cramming and a 730 on the SAT II around the same time. I was really shocked that I broke 700 because I didn't feel like I knew anything at all.

just try to work on a lot of problems and increase your speed. read barron's book and do princeton review problems.

i had taken harder physics courses for 3 years so it was easy for me. however, the collegeboard is cruel for making speed tests. what u need is accuracy in short amount of time. SATII problems are usually straightforward but there're so many of them. don't just read the books, figure out as many problems as you can and u'll find patterns of problems that help u work faster.

No Way!
