Is it better to go ahead and take the SAT II for Chemistry this year? My school never offered AP Chem until now, and I am currently in regular Chemistry. Will there be things on the SATII that I have no idea about? Physics is also not an option, b/c I have never taken that class. My current grade in chemistry is an A.

6 views..no advice? Cruel world haha.

why not try a practice test and see

for reference my whole chem honors class is taking it and those that have started studying says not all material is covered, but it's easily self-studied.

good luck!

Honestly, scoring well on the chem isn't too hard because of the generous curve. I never took AP chem. I took honors chem sophomore year (got a B) and was able to score an 800. I admit that I did get pretty lucky with my guessing, but I hope you get the point.

Wow Eugene, yeah, Chemistry is all facts, the only thing is that I am afraid I have no idea about thermodynamics, or the ideal gas law, but looks like my chemistry book will become my best friend unti June 3rd. Thanks everyone for the advice.

i was able to get a 750 on the chem sat ii and i didnt sleep the night before because i was just cramming using a cliffs notes book the night before. i used a cliffs notes book again with physics and got a 780.

i had taken chem sophomore year and i hadnt taken physics. i just wasnt prepared for the chem exams format, but physics wasnt too bad since i also took a practice exam.
