SATII Lit vs. SAT CR

How similar is the SAT Subject Test for Literature to the Critical Reading Section of the SAT? Which one is easier and which one is harder? Do you even need to study for Literature?

Yes you need to study for Literature. This involved knowing the 10 or so basic terms and practicing the test a bunch.

Lit is MUCH harder than CR. Check out this thread if you want more info:

Idk, Lit was much easier for me. Mainly because you don't need to learn all the vocab words (then again for me English is a second lang, so that was tough). Plus it has little to do with literature itself - you don't have to analyse things, just understand main ideas etc. just like in CR. You do have to know a few terms, but they're pretty basic. As long as there's no Shakespear or some pre-1700 texts it's ok:)

Agreed. For some people, Lit is much more easier than CR. I think that I am better at Lit but I haven't taken that yet. Just took a practice test. You should take the practice test in the SAT2 Blue Book and that would accurately tell you at what level you stand.
