Which book is best to use for tests only in order to prepare for the SATII Math Level CII Test?

I have yet to find a book better than "Complete Prep for the SAT II Math Subject Tests - Level 1 and Level 2", by Rusen Meylani. While the book's english is sometimes shaky, the math prep is exceeded by none. Your scores on the practice tests might be artificially low, though, so don't worry if you find them a bit difficult - the actual test is much easier than Meylani's practice ones.

I keep hearing that this is the case for the Barrons book. And you referred to the "math prep." Are you referring to the lessons that are in the book or the tests, or both?

When I referred to "math prep", I was referring to the lessons in the book, not the tests. Not to knock the tests, though - they are good as well. Be sure to stay away from the Princeton Review book. It is far too easy and simplistic. Seriously, buy the Meylani book and carefully complete all of the lessons. If you do, and you score less than 760, you can punch me in the face. I seem to remember there being a lot of errors in the Barrons book, but I might be mistaken.

about how long do you think it would take to complete the lessons in the barrons book?

I don't really know - I didn't use the Barron's book. I suppose that it might depend upon your personal learning style and upon your previous math knowledge. While it is important that you study, and you will reap benefits from studying from nearly any SAT II Math 2 book, I think that you would be making a mistake if you skipped out on Meylani's book. But again, do whatever works for you. Good luck at any rate. Perhaps you should purchase a few books and complete them all, if you really want to cover all of the bases. Just avoid the PR book. It sucks.

I decided that I might look into that Meylani book and I am getting the Barrons book. Thanks for all of your help.

Hey, no problem. Good luck!
