Can anyone with a 700 or above give some advice for studying for the SATII MATH Level 2c. Some online resources will be helpful.

Thank you

Can anyone with a 700 or above give some advice for studying for the SATII MATH Level 2c. Some online resources will be helpful.

Thank you

I took it on the 4th, and hopefully I got 700+. If you've taken pre-calc, you should be fine. It's important to familiarize yourself with your calculator. Once you learn to utilize all the features of your calc, it will become SO powerful.

So how did u study?? I am ready to work for that score

I went through all of the princeton review book and got a 720. It goes through all the important topics throughly but some of the flashcards they have at the end of each chapter is overkilll for the test. But if u go through the whole book and memorize all their flashcards im sure ull do fine.

I also took 2C on Saturday and I expect about 750.
I'd advise you to review statistics - just the basic stuff: median, mode, range, average and weighted average, standard deviation.
If you don't have a graphing calculartor reviewing the behavior of trig functions: amplitude, period, phase shift is a good idea.

Have a look at the Kaplan Book - it provides a good deal of realistic questions and two practice tests.

And if you have the Barron's textbook - don't stress yourself too much - the test was much easier than what is offered in that book.

victor- i think the kaplan tests was far easier than the real test. I agree that the barrons practice tests are just too hard compared to the real thing.

btw, i got a 790. i lost out on a 800 because my education syllabus does not place much emphasis on functions, leave alone graphs of functions! we are not allowed use calculators n stuff like that.
To prep 4 da test, i bought a graphing calc and fiddled around with it till i got a hang of it. I tried to learn how to utilize my calc to the max... n i guess it worked! if u use a prog graphing calc., be sure to have progz like triangle solvers ( Combines all trigono rules-sin rule, cosine rule, etc), coordinate geo., etc. they r very helpful for the test.

I have an 800 and I self-studied using the Real SATII practice tests.

To do well you must fully understand trig, can't stress this enough. Learn trig! Know ratios and don't suck at algebra/arithmetic. Know how to use the ( and ) keys in your calculator. Understand the nature of probability. Be able to understand equations as they relate to graphs. If you can do that you're good to go.

rm1987, indeed, the first of the two Kaplan tests was easier than the real thing.
Test B though was at the same level as the real test.

By the way how do you know your scores or you just estimate them?

this is my oct test score. in dec i tried my luck with IC because the percentile for a 790 seems very low for IIC. Also, IC almost has no qs dealing with relating graphs n functions.

what's the deal with these percentiles, i mean isn't 790 a decent score?

seems decent.. but the PR for a 790 is 86 => around 14% of all IIC test-takers have a 800! for me as intl app to the ivies, i guess the SAT IIs are more imp than the SAT I score < thats atleast what most of the ppl arnd here say>
