SATII Physics/Chemisty

Hi there. Is the physics test considered for a Physics I course or should the student have taken advanced physics? The same question for chemistry. And does anybody have any recommendations about which one is better to take for a non science person.
thanks!

Any input would be helpful! Thanks.

Chem is better i guess. I got a 730 without any prep (changed from Maths IIC to Chem on the day of paper itself).

I took the tests having finished one year of IB chem and physics, and I found Chemistry to be easier in terms of material and curriculum. There are a diverse amount of info that you’ll need to know for physics, but you can get by memorizing some material for Chem. I did no prep for Chem, some prep for physics and got 770 for both. Physics curve is extremely lenient though, so you should also consider that when you are making a decision.

I recommend taking the phsyics instead of chem. the physics curve is very generous (12 wrong and still get an 800) and the questions are simple calculations in the equations. if you know youre equations you can get an 800 on the exam.

Wow @jerrycui123, are you sure about that curve? I’m taking SAT Physics next week…

If you get 12 out of 50 questions wrong you still get an 800??? I think that’s even more generous than the Math II curve, which is pretty generous.

@Aladeen, Physics test has 75 questions
