SATII US history or World!!

i am taking the sat IIs this saturday.
however i am doing really bad in world history..i read all the material and have been practicing. but my scores are really bad.....:(
i went on the college board website and took the practice questions for world and us
and i did surprisingly better on the us history..
should i just stick to studying world or switch over to us and study that for the week..
to those who took us or world!! advice please!!

I suggest taking the USH instead. I took the test in June, which was a month after I took my AP test.

Well, for the subject test, I only studied a week…and by studying, I mean taking as many practice tests as possible. On those practice tests, however, my highest score was 680.

But on the real test, I ended up getting a 750. I believe the curve was very, very generous because I came out of the testing site thinking I totally bombed the test.

So if you are willing to push yourself for a week, I suggest taking USH. I believe WH is not any worse, but you said you did far better on the USH test…So I’d go with USH instead.

But think wisely–USH is offered every month (except March) while WH is offered only in Dec and June.

It really depends on what your perception of a decent score is. A good practice review on the site doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get a good score on the actual thing.

I took the USH one and if you want a good score on that one, you better start cramming as soon as possible. There’s going to be questions on that test that you cannot possibly answer through process of elimination, using era clues, etc, and you must know the answer straight up.

Personally, if I was in your situation, I would take the WH for now, as you have been studying for it for awhile now. If you’re not satisfied with your score, then I suggest reviewing for USH as soon as possible.

Good luck with your decision though!
