SATII used for college placement, like AP?

do colleges usually regard SATIIs as they do APs in terms of college placement? If so, what score range on the SATII is equivalent to a 5?

No. Only for a few subjects at some schools (mainly just foreign languages and math) are the SAT IIs used for placement.

wow :( that sucks. the SATII bio looks a helluva lot easier than AP...laughs.

SAT IIs are considered for placement situations but typically do not give you automatic placement..
AP and IB exams usually overshadow SAT IIs...

some college will give you credit for just taking a college course in HS.. it really depends...

i would recommend you call the Department of Admissions and ask them

UT-Austin gives credit for a few SAT II's. The wierd thing is that they equate a 660+ on the old SAT II Writing to a 5 on the AP English Language and a 710+ on the SAT II Physics to a 5 on the AP Physics B.

I know that Princeton gives Spanish credit (not saying this is exclusive or anything, I saw it randomly in a catalog) for 800 SAT II. Just something i randomly read.

You can place out of Harvard's language requirement by scoring a 650 or above on a language SAT II.

800 SAT II is too high.. considering that the curve is horrible on the Language SAT IIs..
