SATII USH vs APUSH

If I study for APUSH will i be fully prepared for SATII USH or are they different enough to warrent taking a few practice satII/getting a book

I’ve heard that the SAT II is easier. I’m just studying my AP US test in conjunction to my APUSH class final. That should be enough.

Eh, the only book you really need to prepare for the SAT II US History test is the one that many people I know (including myself) are using to prepare for the APUSH exam: AMSCO.

Reading that book once or hopefully twice (or even more) should be sufficient preparation for the APUSH exam and thus relatively sufficient prep for the SAT II… but it can’t hurt to take a few practice tests to get used to the questions.

And the SAT II for US History is, from what I have heard (and judging by practice questions), definitely more straight-forward than the AP exam, and generally easier for most. The questions on the SAT II will often ask such things as “The _______ battle caused ______” or something along those lines; either you know it or you don’t. The AP exam, meanwhile, covers much more over-arching themes and broad trends throughout American history.

i just took the practice ush sat subject test in the CB book and got a dismal 680. and i have an ‘a’ in my apush class. shocking … but then it’s probably because i don’t have any review books nor have i reviewed any of my notes from sept.
