im also gonna have exceptional essays and reccomendations

Ummmm...I honestly doubt they're gonna reject you based on just SAT II's.

Don't worry too much about it, I'm sure you'll be fine.

yea but i cant apply w.o them and just the SAT

i need to submit my ACT...which isnt good enuf

I think what Star is saying is that its your SAT 1 score or Act that will be most important so if your SAT 2s aren't great it won't be too big a deal. Also, most kids take them immediately after the course, say Physics, and its a one hr test so not so bad. You can choose which ones so a Language or anything else you do well in is good.

Your ECs are outstanding. I know this is controversial but if the scores are what you need to bring up I sometimes recommend students consider making their couseload a little less strenuos, say pull back on one of the AP classes, maybe take honors instead or an elective if you don't need the course to graduate (and/or pull back for a few months on a EC) and instead concentrate on the SAT or ACT prep couses or prep books. There is a good chance you can raise your SAT or ACT scores in the Fall before you apply and rememeber schools take the highest of any sitting so your best SAT in Math from any day you took it.
What is your SAT 1 score? Call and see if they will accept an ACT and SAT 1? How many times have you taken the tests so far?

i didnt take any SAT II's

There average ACT on collegeboard was 26-29 I think. I think with your whole package that would hold you back. I'm sure they have people with even lower ACT scores. The SAT ll requirment was new this year so I'm sure you're not the only one surprised by it. I read it about the same time Holy Cross and Conn.College dropped their SAT l requirement and made it optional.

so do u think a 27 would get me in?

"The SAT ll requirment was new this year so I'm sure you're not the only one surprised by it."

I'm pretty sure that I was required to submit the scores of three SAT IIs to SMG when I applied in 2002.

"so do u think a 27 would get me in?"

The previous posters are saying that you might have a chance considering the other aspects of your application. There isn't a minimum score you need to get it--it's very subjective.

I certainly wouldn't let that hold me back. Averages are just that, there are people that fall out of it and over it. You are within the range. One point isn't a big deal. I know if you don't apply, you wont get in. : )
Also, my son didn't ace his first ACT and is going to take it again in Oct. You can always try once more, they don't have to know if you don't get a better score.

Did you take the SAT 1????

yea 1910 (630-W, 630 V, 650 M)

Looks like 25% of matriculating kids this year have your ACT or lower so with that high GPA you should get in but all admissions are crazy. Thers always CGS if you don't get in CAS. Is that the BU school you are looking at?
Can you take the ACT again?

yea im look at CAS, na i think for most of the other schools im applying to, taking the SAT I over again would help me out more.

ACT and I didnt get along too well anyway
