SAT's and Early Action

Not sure if this should be here or on the SAT forum so I opted for here.

My son is applying EA to several schools, which as all of you know most have a deadline of Nov. 1. He is also retaking the SAT on Saturday. I am wondering if I can send in his SAT's scores to date to the schools he is applying EA to, and then send his new SAT scores (should they improve) when they come in later this month. (I know this will be additional money.)

The dilemna is, I hate waiting til the last minute, hoping his final SAT scores come in on time, and then scrambling to get them out. Another advantage would be (maybe, I'm not sure?) if he does worse on this test than he did the last, and I have already sent in the scores, would the colleges see the new test scores?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

All EA/ED schools with Nov 1 app deadline take October test scores by regular delivery (meaning designate school on app as school to get score or order score sent as soon as score comes out) even though they may arrive after Nov 1. You can send scores now and then wait for Oct score and send by regular delivery and you won't be "rushing" at all. If you send scores now and don't send Oct score, college will not get Oct score. Also note that majority of those EA/ED schools even take the Nov test for EA/ED, at least for any required SAT IIs
