Sats and Sleep...

**** my life... Got 2000. I practiced for a week before and I was getting 700+ with ease. Most of the time I was getting 730+ However, I think this could be attributed to the fact that I only got 5 hours of sleep the night before, and smoked quite a few cigs (this apparently disrupts your sleep).

Do you think this lack of sleep could be the reason? I mean on a 4 hour test, that lack of sleep must really take its toll. The thing is I wasn't really conciouss that I wasn't concentrating, but I evidently wasn't.

Has anyone else experience this kind of thing? Anyone who went into their test with less than 6 hours sleep and did worse than expected?

Thanks for your help!!!

Anyone ???

Pulled an all-nighter cram-reviewing for SATs the day before March SAT and got a 1900. I think that a combination of lack of sleep and no preparation contributed to my subpar score.

I couldn’t sleep at all the night before and crashed around section 8. I didn’t get my best score, even though I tried my best to stay awake. If you were up smoking cigarrettes then that’s mostly your fault, but if you can manage 8 hours of sleep before test day, then by all means do so.

For me, I drank Red Bull and a few energy drinks during breaks, but at section 8 they were failing me so I bombed the last CR section.

Sleep is quite a major factor in test performance
