SAT's and such!

<p>What are the average SAT or ACT scores @ CMU? I was wondering b/c I'm thikning of applying and i want to gauge myself against the median. thanks!!</p>

<p>these were the stats for incoming freshmen 05-06 (sorry about the text being scrunched up, and i guess you can figure out the median yourself...)</p>

<p>These aren't great numbers to look at because the College of Fine Arts weighs statistics very lightly against a strong portfolio.</p>

<p>I would look at this year's applicant pool data because the increase in apps is expected to continue as programs like Tepper and Information Systems continue to get national recognition. </p>

<p>The Computer Science field is starting to bounce back from the 2001 bubble pop so CS is becoming quite in demand as well.</p>

<p>I would not worry about the avg GPA at all since it is very hard to gauge everything with all the factors (CFA, Unweighted, etc) so just focus on being top 10% of your class.</p>

<p>SAT should be an avg of 2100 if you can or just above 2000+. 1380 was a good number to shoot for (CFA excluded) before so a 1400 (700/700/700) or 2100 would be a good number to shoot for in the future.</p>
