Ok, so I took the SAT for the third time in May and I did hideously:

720CR
730M (should be getting 800)
670W (ridiculous, usually get full marks for the MCs - 8 on the essay.. let down)

That makes a 2120..
I know I can get 800 for M, and possibly a 800 for W. CR is really as good as it is going to get for me though.

Do the following schools accept score choice:
Wharton (UPenn)
UChicago
Cornell
University of Michigan
UC Berkeley

If so, should I retake for a 4th time? Also, thats make 1450 CR + M (1490 Super-score).. which of those schools only look at CR+M?

I am wondering the same thing lol.

Mine are:

750cr
780m
610w

what schools look at writing the LEAST?

Cornell/ Georgetown don’t consider writing

So it wouldn’t really make a difference or even put me at an advantage if I apply to Cornell ED?

Well your writing won’t put at a disadvantage. This is my personal take on ED; basically, kids who are matches will get in more likely. If all your grades are bad, ED won’t put you at an advantage.

700’s hideous? my sympathies (…)

eh only if you want…i advise you focus on subject tests for june and may be take it for the 4th time if you think you REAlly get an 800 in math which should be fine as long as you BE REALLY CAREFUL on the test, the probs are stupid. Also try to get the writing score up for wharton around 700, i advise simply studying the multiple choice and memorizing all the rules, which should be okay if you are good at math.

BUT Again, only take it the 4th time if you think you can get…I know it’s frustrating but I don’t think SATs are a that big of a deal especially for UChicago. I advise focusing on writing stellar essays.

Good luck and don’t get down these are not horrible scores.

Don’t take them more than 3 times. I believe Chicago also does nto look at the Writing portion of the SAT.
