cujoe, you are making a very large, and very wrong, assumption there...

well... with a lot of them it is, some i'll stay in touch with, but how often are you gonna come back and hang out, especially if your school is far away!

haha no wrong assumption.

i'm confused... then

Texasmathwhiz- I think your school (not sure which one it is exactly) is supposed to be one of the best. I don't think you can get into the Dallas TAG school because you don't live in Dallas. I'm pretty sure it is limited to Dallas school district kids. I have a lot of doubts about all the Texas public schools, although a friend of mine has a D who just got accepted today into the Rochester joint BS/MD program. She is graduating from Plano. WildChild exhausted the local opportunities (behaviorally) and we had to look elsewhere, which is why he went to boarding school. Turned out to be the right thing for him.

Yes my school is "supposed" to be one of the best. But if you look up the top high schools in America, you don't find it. We practice the TAKS test like daily so of course we are going to get good scores. When a school does something like that you can't really look at the numbers, you need to attend the school which I've done, and I'm not pleased.

So- what are the options? Is there a better school in the school district to which you could transfer? You have 2 years after this one. Can you stand it and just take some extra classes somewhere? I thought your GC had you all set up with a good and challenging schedule for next year.

No I go to the best school in my district.

I have a great GC as far as I know GCs. My schedule next year is nice, and my GC let me take AP Psych this year when it's a junior/senior course.

The thing is I'm in one of those TX schools that are obsessed with football ya know. I think the gifted and talented school would have more students like me.

PM me again I have a lot of questions.

"Yes my school is "supposed" to be one of the best. But if you look up the top high schools in America, you don't find it."

where is this list
