Does anybody else find the middle 50% SAT ranges for the Fu school are unusually high.....like MIT high? 660-740 for CR and 750-800(?!) for math??? How could a middle 50% possibly have 800 on math and 740 on CR? What would the upper 25% have? all 1600s??

No offense, but you might not cut out to be a statistician. I don't feel like explaining to you why everything you've posted is mathematically wrong, but two basic concepts:

1) if the middle 50% range is X to Y, then Y is the top 25%.

2) the two ranges aren't cross-dependent on each other.

Why would SEAS be that different from MIT in terms of stats, anyway?

We tend to be self-selective. Admit rates are higher than MIT for that reason, but the students are no less smart - just perhaps less accomplished or driven.

I had 800M/750V, at any rate. If you're not mathematically inclined enough to get 800 (or at least mid-700s) on the math section of the SAT, a top-tier engineering school might be too much of a challenge for you.

its high because even tho its fu, it's still columbia and you need to be amazing to get in.
