I have read the extremely helpful posts on recruiting stats --- thank you! Does anyone have specific SAT information for Men's Soccer Goalkeeper for DIII LAC or UAA and DI Ivy?

I think the standard minimums of roughly 700+ on all sections and the subject tests will hold for all sports, except maybe football, basketball, and hockey, where the standards are sometimes lower.

If it helps, we have a friend at one of the HYP schools who is a women’s soccer goalie. I think she had a 34 ACT and subject test scores in the 750-780 range.

It depends upon the school, the soccer program’s pull in the school, the coach’s needs that year, and how good the player is. I know current soccer players at Princeton, Brown and Cornell with SATs in the 1800-1950 range and unweighted GPA in the 3.5-3.7 range. I have no direct knowledge but have been told by the parents of the kid at Princeton that the coach had one slot to give to any player meeting the minimum AI that year (couple of years ago). But their son is a very, very good player and I imagine slots for soccer can vary at a school year to year.

You really need to contact the coaches and ask. They may or may not give you a straight answer but no harm in trying.

Evertonnut thanks for the details. Do you support Everton fc?

My S finally received his May SATs (living overseas, and so they are released later than US). The result was not as good as he had hoped: 1970 total: CR 700, M620, W650. He was not well on the test day, and is not sure how much that affected him since he was in the 700s on practice tests for CR/W and high 600s for math. S is not a confident standarized test taker; but does well on content based public exams and so will try the ACT in Sept and re-test SAT in Oct. Would 30 composite ACT usually be in range?

At this moment, the coaches still seem receptive and several have indicated mid-600+s may be enough since S is taking full IB diploma with 4.0 uw for IB. Does anyone have experience with SAT/ ACT being less weighted due to strong IB?
