SATs HELP. SEND SCORES TO COLLEGE?

So, I took my SAT today. And I did terrible. I could not concentrate at all. There was a baseball game outside and it was super noisy. We closed the window and it was still loud. There was dogs barking and cars honking their horns. In the reading section, I would read and just loose focus because of the noise.

I am a junior and this is my first time taking it. I was wondering if I should cancel my scores? Will colleges see my score? I probably got around 1500 or lower. Not expecting anything higher. I did good on section 1 (essay) because the baseball game did not start yet. Then during sections 3 to 7 the game started and I could not concentrate at all. Sections 8 to 10 I did good because the game ended and it was quiet.

SHOULD I CANCEL MY SCORE? WILL ALL THE COLLEGES SEE MY SCORE IF I DO NOT CANCEL? I don't know want to do and is very mad.

Thank you.

Whether uou cancel is your decision. As to whether colleges will see your score: (a) many colleges require you to send all scores and not exercise score choice so when you apply for college next year you may have to order it sent to a college by College Board; (b) many high schools put all your test scores on your official high school transcript sent to colleges so you should check what yours does

help>anyone else have an idea

Seeing as you’re a junior, and it’s unusual for you to take it this early, I’d definitely cancel it, especially if your score on practice tests was well above the score you think you got on this one.

Back in June I took the US and Math subject tests. I did well on the first one but got destroyed by the other, and waited until the deadline for canceling until I decided to do it. I’m not even joking when I say a HUGE burden was lifted off me the second that cancellation form was faxed. So if you think this looming over you is going to stress you out and make you miserable, then cancel the test. You still have ~9 more opportunities to take another one anyway :)

Only do it if you’re positive you did really poorly though.
