Sats high than 75th percentile . . .

I posted this earlier but it got deleted, so sorry if you are reading it twice.

I want to go to USC and my sats are slightly above their 75th percentile. (Mine are 2220, their 75th is 2200).

Since USC is such a large private school (it accepts 7,000+ a year) will this be a huge advantage??

Considering all of the athletes, legacies and kids of the rich and famous, most unhooked admits have stats at, near or above the 75th percentile.

At the 75th percentile, your score is still lower than 25% of people who are accepted. If SAT score isn’t the only thing you’re good in, you have a good shot of course. But I wouldn’t call it a HUGE advantage.

Ok, cool, thanks.
