SAT's Postponed till Tuesday?

LOL!! good stuff sksol, I was like, oh my........collegeboard has seriously declined in their efficiency....just kidding i so didnt' buy into that after the first 10 minutes of crying.

I think CB should have a picture of people from CC crying on the front webpage when they received a score in the 98th percentile.

lurk more .

lol you all are funny, theres more than 1500 views in this thread
even im reading the thread and i dont get any scores

Although I took no collegeboard tests on October 8th, i'll say this:

W'TF

If they have THREE WEEKS to grade these tests, why are they missing their deadline by a single day? If there was a large number of test-takers, or if they had technical difficulties, or etc., and therefor they needed an extra WEEK, that would make sense...

but what explanation could there be for needing an extra day?

what? its true

Who knows. Maybe technical error of some sort. Data loss? Need to recover from backup server? There are a number of possible scenarios.

It isn't true, and there are only TWO weeks, not 3, to grade the tests, valikor.

mmmm my bad.. 2 weeks.. but still..

I suppose it's possible that they are working such a tight schedule that they have everything planned out very exactly (in terms of what tests will get graded on what day, at what time.. when they'll be saved, recorded, or whatever.. etc).. then, something going wrong could push them over a day.

But my point still makes sense: If a problem is going to delay them only one day, it cannot be a very big problem. And if it's not a big problem, why don't they just work late for the few days before to compensate for it?

I suppose there's the other possibility that they generally finish everything a few days early, and that this problem was actually more than just a one day delay... but whatever, it doesn't matter. Pay no attention to me :-P

I understand your point, valikor. That is part of the reason why I know that the scores are NOT delayed till Tuesday.

For the sake of the sanity of the people on this site, I hope/know they're not delayed til tuesday also :)

Ahh man! don't u guys get it....collegeboard can't put a contradictory statement on its OFFICIAL website!

CollegeBoard's site contains inconsistencies all the time. Most of the time it's due to an inability to updating everything at the same time. I remember at the time of the March administration of the very first new SAT there were errors all over the site regarding score posting dates, result display policies, &c. &c.

Hmm well, i think i got way to frustrated by all this waiting and anxiousness that i wrote that statement. But i still believe that most of the results are gonna be online by tomm. morning.:)
