SATs

How does CMU consider your SATs in admission? Do they look at your best scores, your best combined scores, or simply just average all your results?
Thanks

best scores in sat old and sat new

so they don't look at your comined best, ie your 700 Reading from the first time you took the SATs, your 720 math from the second time you took the SATs, etc. ?

never mind I looked on the supplement pdf and it seems that they consider your best combined score.

"best scores in sat old and sat new"
So that means that say I scored on the old one Verbal: X1 and Math: Y1, but on the new one I got Verbal: X1-50, and Math: Y1+100 they would take X1 and Y1+100 as my scores?

I think I just made that more confusing than I needed to.

Do they count SAT writing?

Yep, better believe it. Carnegie Mellon had required students from the past to take the SAT II writing..... so since now that the writing section is on the SAT I... it is factored in. =/

How much dyu reckon is safe for CMU? I got 2250 in new and 1500 in old :(

actually, they don't know what to do with SAT writing.

"How much dyu reckon is safe for CMU? I got 2250 in new and 1500 in old "

Thats safe for preatty much any school there. You'll have more competition if you're going into css or buisness, but that is still in the safe zone for sure.
