heyyy~~~
how bad is it if you took the sats like 5 or 6 times? cuz i took the sats during freshman and sophomore year, then had to do the new sats junior year. is this bad? im not even gonna use my old sat scores...

They say they look at your highest but what worries me is that I am using my ACT but since my SAT II scores show my SATI they will see my horrendous scores from 9th and tenth grade. Of course they went up but they will have to tolerate seeing a 1020 in my earlier HS years! I think that just solidifies the point thay my school has little SAT opportunities..avg 989.

They may have like some sort of subconscious concern over all the times you took it but who knows what they will do...ask byerly.

whos byerly, btw?

Picture a crimson-colored watchdog outside Harvard with very sharp teeth. This watchdog has extraordinary hearing, and everytime someone so much as mentions Harvard anywhere in the world, this watchdog leaps to Harvard's defense. The watchdog also has an encyclopedia in its head of Harvard facts, and it has replaced the Bible with a Harvard Alumnus Magazine.

This is Byerly.

(all in good fun, Byerly... :))

i know that was just a reply, but i gotta admit...that was beautiful.

seriously, tho...is he a "cc'er"?

heh, ok. Here's the real deal: Byerly is an old alumnus of Harvard who can't stop singing its praises, even (dare i say often?) at the expense of institutions of equal caliber. Simply put, you can't diss Harvard anywhere on CC, because Byerly will hunt you down and "set you straight." You have to hand it to him, though... he is absolutely the most knowledgable source of information about Harvard that has ever walked this earth. I'm waiting for the day when Harvard Admissions Viewbooks are replaced with his picture and phone number.

watch out for his info, though, because it's often skewed [unfairly] in harvard's favor...

I know how to get his attention. Someone make a post saying that EA is garbage and that it will never give you an advantage. BET YOU he will write sooner than later. Go ahead someone try it. :) Don't track me down and kill me Byerly!! I wonder when he went to Harvard and how old he is? I get this image of some 27 yr old person with his vigorous EA arguments (quick style of writing). Tell us the secret of admission...um..besides EA!

apfreak, at least your school is above 900. My school: 870. And, I know someone who got a 600 (out of 2400)... that's the lowest score you can get! People, feel sorry for apfreak and I. :'(

lets see if it works...EA SUCKS!!! HARVARD = HELL

waiting.......

Anyway, taking the SAT I more than three times would not look good.
