Save Darfur!!!

"understand that all war is for money, and nothing more. until you understand that, you won't understand anything."

yeah your right war has nothing to do with protecting our country against ruthless brainwashed invaders who are we kidding!

It's depressing to see these miseries taking place.

I watched a movie called Sometimes in April about the genocide in Rwanda. Throughout the movie, there were scenes that were so gripping, I cried. The people who were being massacred looked just like me and some were the same age as me. The movie got me thinking. What if I was a black girl born in Rwanda, Darfur, or another African territory and not America? What if my family had not come from the West Indies but Africa?

what can be done to change any of it for the better? Giving money or whatnot will not neccessarily make things better and may make them worse.

"btw, a lot of stuff in SUdan is all muslims throwing a current down the country. the christians are quite nice."

you watch too much biased TV. while the governing regime is predominantley muslim, there are plenty of high ranking christian souther officials ( eg. Francis Deng, former sudanese ambassador to the un, etc) amongst minister, advisors etc. In addition, the conflict in Darfur is a muslim on muslim confilict, the militias r muslims, the inhabitants of darfur are muslim.

too bad the US is trying, but the UN says "no genocide in Darfur"

<a href="http://www.addistribune.com/Archives/2005/05/27-05-05/how_many_have_died_in_darfur.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.addistribune.com/Archives/2005/05/27-05-05/how_many_have_died_in_darfur.htm</a></p>

"A recent UN mission visited to establish whether US claims of genocide in Darfur were accurate. It failed to give any kind of toll, despite cataloguing hundreds of violent incidents and many eyewitness accounts of village massacres.

The commission concluded that grave human rights abuses were taking place but there was no genocide."

After listening to 24/7 speaches by liberals telling us we should have let the UN handle Iraq, I think it is time to see just how effective the UN is in dealing with simple problems such as Darfur. Let's leave this problem to be solved by the UN!

"simple problems such as Darfur."

this problem is anything but simple, its probably 5x as complex as iraq

Then that is five times the reason to let the UN handle the matter.
