<p>I searched and found topics that seem to be dying so I thought I'd put this in a place where it would be seen more.</p>
<p>Media giants like AT&T and Comcast are pushing for legislation that allows them to give better bandwith to sites that <em>ahem</em> $$upport them. Sites that don't will load slower indirectly forcing internet users to visit the supported sites.</p>
<p>Further on down the road, the internet could end up like cable where Gold and Platinum packages allow internet users to "buy" access to certain websites.</p>
