I’m seriously considering dropping my physics AP class. I got an A last semester, but I’m not learning anything! The teacher is really bad, and it’s just a bunch of time-consuming busywork that everyone spends hours on but no one really gets. I’ve never been so bored and disgusted by a course in my life. The only thing keeping me in there is the obligation I feel towards taking a science AP class being an “overachiever” and all, but I would much rather do something easy (that I enjoy) like creative writing, or something. Colleges wouldn’t care if I drop it for second semester, would they? What do you guys think?

I wish I had dropped AP Stats in December when I found out it was taking the place of my APUS class with the best teacher I've EVER had. Now I have APUS with another teacher. :-/

At my school, everyone from last year's AP Physics class warned the rest of us not to take it, so it's not a class anymore. Not enough people signed up for it.

If you're able to drop it, I'd say go for it. If it'll ruin your last semester, there's no reason why you should force yourself to take it.

I'd drop AP Stats in a second if I could. Unfortunately the deadline to drop it has already passed. I'll never forgive myself for taking it. The material isn't hard, but the class somehow is. My least favorite class ever.

You have to take it for a whole year? I'm sorry...

My friend told me today that if I drop/add any classes, I have to notify all the colleges I'm applying to about the schedule change. Is this true?

Yes, it's true and it sucks. I'm trying to drop physics too, for about the same reasons, and I had to.
