Saying goodbye to great safeties

No, Bradley's fine. It is the midwest (all the way down to Texas) which is a mess.

Mini, good luck to your D. That's my complaint about Hartford...to get to anywhere you want to go, you probably have to first connect through somewhere else.

I've fingers crossed for D's return. Coming here, she's on a direct flight. Returning to Smith, she transfers at O'Hare. In January.

Btw, Hartford also wins my award for second dorkiest airport I've ever flown into or out of, after Oxnard, California.

She's in the air now, but will likely get stranded in Cincy (more dorky than Hartford, or John Wayne).

Mini
You have such a positive attitude. I do hope she gets a flight soon

Just heard - she made it into Cincy (by the time they took off, her flight was virtually empty), and they held the last flight for her, so we'll see her by midnight (at least in theory.) In my lifetime, I have slept in airports in Athens (actually outdoors, and they turned on the sprinkler system at 5 a.m.), Rome, New Delhi (may get to do that again next week), Bangkok, and Chicago, and I think of the experiences as badges of honor!

Whoops! Check that - flight just got cancelled!

This is more saying hello to lousy airports, than good-bye to safeties ;). Atlanta doesn't look good either - my SIL,BIL and kids are stranded in Paris (that's a little better in Cincy, on their way to Atl)
