Saying Goodbye to Seniors

I'm a junior right now, I have 4 more days of school. But tomorrow is the seniors' last day, and it's really hard for me. One of my classes is play production, which is an audition-only class that does exactly what it sounds like - produces plays. I've been in the class all 3 years of high school, and it has been a ton of the same people in the class all that time. There are 23 of us, and 16 are seniors. Our final show closed on sunday, and we had to start it ten minutes late because we couldn't stop crying backstage. We've all gotten so close, and seeing them leave me behind is so hard. It's giving me premature senioritis - I haven't been able to focus on finals this week because of how sad I've felt, and as much as I want them to stay, I've been so jealous that they get to leave.

I don't really know how to deal with this. Tomorrow is the last class with them, and then friday I have to go back to that class after they've left. I don't know really what kind of advice I want. I guess we can just commiserate if there are other juniors feeling left behind :-/

Eliminate your feelings. They are a sign of weakness. People leaving is a fact of life. Deal with it and move on. Don’t form attachments.

Jeez, you sound like my ex boyfriend

Just cry. It’s cathartic.

That was me last year. I found that it’s not as bad when you’re the one leaving and moving on with life.

Tears emasculate.

Emotional constipation gives hemorrhoids.

Emotions are effeminate as well.

A lack of emotion indicates inhumanity, not masculinity.

Those devoid of emotion are able to transcend human capabilities.

Or they are capable of descending below humanity’s meanest level.

Below humanity’s “meanest level” would require a certain emotion.

Y’know I’m perfectly fine with being effeminate considering, well, I’m female.

Just sayin’ :D

Ah then my farcical argument is moot. But wasn’t it moot to begin with?

I don’t see what that emotion that would be.

Most of these things are. But the biggest example of that can be found here.

OP appears to be a girl, so this is not such a bad thing.

Devoid of emotion would indicate apathy. Would you argue that apathy is a greater evil than cruelty?

Addressed in my previous post.

If I was in the right mood, then yes.

^ Interesting. Let’s agree to disagree.

^:(

I expected parrying with you online to be more fun, even if we only used wooden swords.
