SBU eop/aim class of 2019?

Hey, this is a discussion for the sbu class of 2019 eop and students already admitted into the program. Would love to hear some thoughts, imputs, questions ect.

Hiya  I got accepted to EOP/AIM for Stony Brook. Ido you know what course we will take during the summer Program?

I believe the choices are Math (Pre-Calc), Philosophy, Writing, and Africana studies. You have to choose 2 courses for a total of 6 credits for the summer program. From what I here, the summer program is brutal and you are really pushed to succeed. It’s important to do as best as you possibly can in order to start the school year with a nice GPA.

All the info is here http://www.stonybrook.edu/eopaim/prospective.shtml

Are you a incoming freshman EOP Student? And will you be attending the Summer program?

Yes and yes. @MBxSBU‌

Awesome! What are your stats because I have a friend who’s currently waiting for his admission decision.

@MBxSBU‌ Average was around 85, SAT was 1480 with math and cr being 1010 total. Had good extracurricular activities which involved leadership and responsibility. I also had really good recommendations and a good essay about finding myself.

Hi, I got accepted into the EOP/AIM program and I want to know is there any specific things that eop students have to do compared to normal students. Also are the tuition fees reduced for eop students? What are some benefits for eop students? Thank you!

@syeo1124‌ and @MBxSBU‌ When did you guys submit your application?

Around early December and then in February they asked for my tax return papers.

@syeo1124‌ Yes! We get an EOP grant and book stipends.

@syeo1124 which tax return papers do the ask for? I’m applying for EOP this year so do I have to wait for my parents tax return when they file it in January or can I send the tax return papers from last year Janurary?
