ok i applied to stony brook for the spring semester. and everythings been completed (supplement, payment etc..) except the school forms. does the school form have to be submitted before im even eligible for the solar account? i did my application under the common app..and i have no idea of how to contact my schools guidance counselor since i moved far away from my high school..and i really dont see why the school forms is needed..

and also..when will they start letting kids know if they are accepted or not?

All good questions. First, you'll get your SOLAR ID e-mailed to you probably some time in the next week or so; we're just starting to look at spring applicants in the next couple of days.

As far as the "school form" goes, we don't necessarily need that, specifically; you can call your high school and just have them send us the transcript.

We'll probably start getting decisions out by the end of the month, hopefully earlier.

Are you a freshman or a transfer for the spring?

Anyone else who's considering spring -- hurry up, because we're going to fill up very early this year.

Chris

i am a freshman applicant, sir

thank you for the heads up.

wish me luck because my acceptance would be basically based on luck. i thought if i can get accepted to NYIT i could get accepted here..but my grades and sat scores are poor..maybe my essay would win the admission office over. :/
