I’ve heard that SCAD gives scholarships to basically everyone if you submit a portfolio. I’m wondering if anyone who knows about how scholarships work at SCAD (or similar schools) could help me out. What does it take to get a decent scholarship from SCAD?
I was told my portfolio was strong at a summer seminar there this year. Does anyone with experience know a ballpark of much money would I be able to get with a 4.5 gpa and 32 ACT? I’m wondering because, at more selective schools, this probably wouldn’t be considered “superior academic achievement” (words on their website). But I don’t know how an art school like SCAD sees this or how important grades are in their admissions process.
What is a typical merit aid situation like for a SCAD student?
Thanks!
