Hello!
I'm looking at film schools right now to go to. I'm very interested in NYU, UCLA, and possibly BU. I'm interested in screenwriting, but maybe some sort of production.
However, I'm worried I don't have the credentials to get into those schools. I'm very interested in SCAD since it seems like a wonderful school and I also seem to have the grades and finances to go there.
I've looked around this website and have gotten mixed reviews. I went to Savannah recently and loved the school, talked to a current student who is the sister of a friend of mine who LOVES to school, but I still haven't seen a clear idea on this website nor anywhere on the internet of the "reputation" of SCAD.
I know every college has those who love it and hate it, but could I get some reviews?
I know it's not accredited and (I hate to sound ignorant) but what difference does that make? Also, does anyone knows reason(s) it might not be accredited?
Ultimately I'd love to go to SCAD and then NYU for grad school afterwords if I couldn't find a good internship. Would SCAD be a good place to go before NYU?
If you want more info on myself/my grades/finances/etc, if that would help you, here is a thread I started a while back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visual-arts-film-majors/1358268-help-film-school-major-applications.html
