I tend to circle the numbers of the questions that I wasn't sure about, so that I can come back to it later. I was only able to check back on some of the questions because I ran out of time, so I wasn't able to erase some of the circles I made on the numbers. So my question is, are these marks going to affect my score or would the machine be able to neglect the mark since it's not part of the bubbles?

it will probable mess everything up. BUT DONT WORRY b/c u can tell college board to regrade the multiple choice (after paying a fee of course) and the will grade manually=accurate scoring

I heard the scantron is pretty advanced, and it might not mess up the test…However, in case it does, just pay the 50$ and you will be fine.

no, don’t worry about it; I ALWAYS dash the numbers to questions I’m not sure of and come back to them. The only time its considered a stray mark is if you actually made a mark inside the bubbles.

Has anybody ever asked for a manual verification because of stray marks and then get a higher score?

NOT TO WORRY AT ALL. on my SAT i did exactly the same thing as you did and i was fine and trust me, my marking up is extensive and dark. I could barely erase them when i had time to go back and erase the circles of of my scantron. DW ur fine. i got a 2240 on it. Either it was one hell of a glitch or im a Genius. Trust me, Im a G

I also circle the questions im not sure about. I tried to erase a few but I don’t think I got to all of them. In case there is an issue, will the Question / Answer service I ordered show what answers I marked? I’d like to verify just in case.

How do you get the Question/Answer service? Do you have to get it before registration?

No, you can request it.

For the ACT I made a small dot to the right of the answer choices in the answer booklet for questions I was unsure about. I erased them all, but should I have not done that?

You’re fine. I highly doubt it even slightly matters.
