Earlier this afternoon, I saw that I had received this mid-size envelope from Colgate, but it looked pretty empty. My heart just dropped because it definitely looked like a rejection, or waitlisted at the best!

I guess because I'm international and snail-mail takes on an entirely new meaning for us, I received some Feb 14 package today! (Something about dorm-life, that I'm guessing everyone else received in Feb!)

Anyway, when will we get our decisions, and how? e-mail, or regular post?

PTYman, i think cn173 is talking about a different package, the one with "this is where we call home" brochure. it came together with a letter stating that they received 9300 applications

yes that is what i was talking about. i think it's kind of pointless for them to keep sending us all this stuff after we applied but before we are accepted/rejected

No, it may be the same because the yield may be lower and they may need to take more kids from the wait list. With more applications more kids are applying to multiple schools and fewer kids might accept their spots. You just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Wow Mongolia... too cool! Why can't i stay another year? :)

Yes, this year is the most they've ever had- 9,400 applications. I honestly wouldn't freak out about anything from Colgate until after March 15th. I think for internationals, they'll probably e-mail you with decisions while people in the US and Canada would have to wait for postal (time delivery).
