Hey guys! For anyone whom might know an alumni or attendee of UGA I was wondering if you could look at my "stats" as someone might say and see what my chances would be to get into UGA. I know my ECs are very weak and I'm trying to be in more clubs soon, do you think I would be able to get into regular classes at UGA?

Academics:
3.92 Unweighted GPA
4.31 Weighted GPA
3 AP/7 Honors classes
3 Gold level awards (Top 5%) on NSE (National Spanish Exam)
1 Silver level award (Top 15%) on NSE (National Spanish Exam)

ECs:
Beta Club member
CNA Program
Reading Club

Oh and I forgot to add, my SAT: 2160 ACT: 33 I’m also a junior.

From what I know, applying ED is based on your test scores and GPA. I think that as long as you continue to do as well as you are doing, your stats are good enough for you to apply ED. Students who do not have strong stats are advised to apply RD where they are looked at more holistically- essays, EC’s, letters.

Nobody can predict admission, but I think you have a good chance if you apply ED and in the worst case scenario they may defer your admission to RD. This is just my opinion- I am not connected to admissions at UGA. I also hope you have other colleges on your list- it’s always a good thing to not rely on one.

I assume you are eligible for Hope scholarship if you are in GA. If Alabama has the automatic merit awards, your grades and scores make you eligible for scholarships there. You should apply early for those ( not binding admission). See the website for details when they open applications next summer.

UGA also superscores, so although your scores are very good, a retake if you get higher scores won’t hurt and may help. I don’t know how many times you have taken the tests. Some colleges don’t like to see more than three times. I don’t think large state colleges like UGA have a problem with how many times a student takes it.

You should also consider applying for the honors college. You never know…
For now, do as well as you can. Good luck.
