Scared of getting Rescinded?

I was recently admitted to a very selective university and in the application’s coursework section, I stated that I would be taking a "principles of microeconomics"course at my local university. However, I dropped the course due to scheduling issues as by taking the course, it would not allow me to participate in some of my extra-curricular activities. The admissions office requires us to send them an update on our coursework during the month of February. I left out the said dropped course in this update but didn’t directly state I was no longer taking the course. Fearing that I would be penalized for misinformation, I sent an e-mail to the admissions office recently to fully clarify me dropping the course and why. However, I still fear that I may get rescinded from said university. Will I perhaps be rescinded for this?

Thanks for any input, I appreciate the help.

If the college has an issue with you dropping the course, which I doubt, they will tell you. Don’t worry about it unless they contact you.

Probably won’t get rescinded but you signed a statement when you applied that you would notify them of any planned changes and you didn’t so they are within their rights to do so.

In any event, you will hear back from them so there’s no use in stressing over guessing what the answer will be. Just deal with it when the time comes.

Thanks
