LMAO. If Berkeley was truly race blind we would have an 80% Asian student population.
The biggest beneficiaries of race policies to the extent they even exist are white kids.
But lets rely on personal anecdotes

Your “argument”, if there is even one there, doesn’t make any sense. If anything, you’re saying what I am - that Berkeley is not race blind at all.

You said berkeley was bending over backwards to get URM’s in. The numbers don’t show that. They actually show that Berkley is bending over backwards to get white students in to the extent they are doing anything race based. Your ire is misplaced.

Statistics/Probability should definitely not be a back-up for economics. It’s a math major, and one of the most challenging/interesting math majors, at that.

I feel like people take intro stats courses and have no idea how much hand waving is actually going on.

At Berkeley, white students are literally URM. They are in the minority, and they are underrepresented relative to their population as a percentage of the population of California.

I just have a general question, If my alternate major is impacted for UCs ( not at berkeley) will that matter. Because my first choice major is undeclared. Will that effect my chances?

^ Probably not…since it isn’t impacted at Berkeley?..especially if it is a major in the college of letters and science (everyone comes in undeclared)

Yes I am aware for UCB, But I meant for the other UC’s?
