Ok, is any1 else lke totally terrified to go away to college. Like I mean I am SO ready to get away from my parents, but I'm scared, I won't be able to find friends, and I will be all alone.

You are concerned that you won't have a social life at college?

no, its just I've had the same 3 best friends since I was like 3 and I'm not very good @ making friends. I think I'll have stuff 2do, I just don't know if I will have very good strong friendships in college, and thats something that I have gotten really used to.

It's normal to be scared. Some kids only apply to colleges locally.

That wouldn't really help, cause I want to get away from my parents SO bad and all my friends are going 2 schools far away anyways..

Remember, in your freshman class everybody is the new kid. It's not like going into an environment where everyone else is already established in their friendship circles and cliques, and you're the odd one out. It's a fresh start for all of you.

College is a wonderful time to reinvent yourself. Nobody has any preconceptions about you. It can be very liberating.

You haven't tried to make new friends recently because you already have three strong friendships?

i wasnt scared.. i probably shouldve been. i expected to have a group of solid friendships within two weeks that would be the same as mine back home. didnt happen, was a little disappointed, but then made some other good friends and had a great time.

kind of the same for me. i live in a town where everyone goes to the same schools and have been with the same 300 people more or less since i was 7 years old. my best friend has lived next door to me for 14 years.. all of my best friends are within a 5 minute drive. so yeah it was weird but its true everyones the new kids and looking for friends. just dont get worried if it takes a while to find the right people
